This policy covers conorbronsdon.com and the software applications operated by Fernwillow LLC, a Washington limited liability company, in connection with the Chain of Thought podcast and related independent work.

What this website collects

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which links they choose. Our route-selection event records broad destination and page categories, link placement, and whether the link leaves this site. It does not include link text, destination URLs, search text, or form entries. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you visit. That data goes to Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy ↗ (opens in new tab). Analytics is not loaded on preview or local development builds.

The Podcast Grader has a separate request form:

• Podcast Grader collects a podcast link, email, goal and optional context for human review. It also keeps aggregate action counts and rate-limit records. Read the grader privacy details. Requesting an audit does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
• The newsletter link points to Substack. If you subscribe, Substack collects your email under its own privacy policy, not this one.
• No accounts, no logins, no advertising or retargeting pixels.
• Personal data is not sold or rented. Analytics, hosting, and grader delivery use the service providers described here and in the grader privacy details.

You can block analytics cookies through your browser settings or a Google Analytics opt-out extension ↗ (opens in new tab). The site works normally either way.

Automation tools and social platform APIs

Fernwillow LLC operates internal software that publishes podcast and writing content to social platforms, including X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, and YouTube. These tools are registered as developer applications with those platforms.

They are single-operator tools. Concretely, this means:

• They act only on accounts owned by Fernwillow LLC or Conor Bronsdon. They do not post on behalf of anyone else.
• They publish content created by Conor Bronsdon. Every post is reviewed by a human before it is published.
• They do not collect, store, process, or analyze data belonging to other users of those platforms. There is no bulk collection and no scraping.
• Platform data retrieved through an API is used only for the immediate task and is not retained beyond it.
• Nothing obtained through any platform API is sold, resold, redistributed, or licensed to anyone.
• No third-party user data is transferred to any other party, and none is used to train machine learning models.

Authorization tokens for these accounts are stored on infrastructure controlled by Fernwillow LLC, are not shared, and are revoked when no longer needed. Access can be revoked at any time from the relevant platform's account settings.

How long data is kept

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in that property and is subject to Google's own deletion policies. Podcast Grader requests and optional measurements remain until removed; the beta has no automatic deletion schedule. See the grader privacy details for access and removal.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data relating to you, and to object to certain processing. Requests about analytics data are usually best directed to Google. For Podcast Grader requests or anything else, email hello@conorbronsdon.com and it will be handled.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
